Garmin Forerunner 245 - Smart watch - 1.36 oz - berry

You do the running. Forerunner 245 does the thinking. This GPS smartwatch doesn't just tell you where you ran. It tracks your stats, crunches the numbers and gets to know all about your performance, your running form, your training history and even your goals. All you need to focus on is putting one foot in front of the other.

Reviews & Ratings

Life on a Wrist
★★★★★
I've only had my Forerunner 245 music for a few days, but I'm already thrilled with the decision to upgrade from the Fitbit HR I've had for a couple of years. Performance is great. Weight is comparable despite the additional size and features. The reporting is MUCH more broad and advanced. Best of all, this with my new bluetooth earpieces mean I'm not fighting with cords and having to carry an MP3 player while I run. I'm still learning the features, but that will come.

Easy to use and read in sunlight
★★★★★
I've only had this watch a couple weeks so haven't used all the features. But the ones I have used were easy to set up. I created a long run interval workout and a pace run. I didn't have to look at the watch because it beeped when I needed to change intervals. When I do look at the screen, I can easily see the data, even in the sun. About a week after I got the watch, my dog ate the band. I called Garmin to order a new one and they sent it to me for free. I really appreciated that. Thanks, Garmin. Can't wait to use more of the features of my new watch!

The best sports watch for the money
★★★★★
I did a lot of research before I purchased a good fitness watch and the 245 was rated at the top especially for blue. My base requirement was a watch that looked good and was easy to use and would play music to listen to with my ear buds. After a few weeks, I would say it does a lot more stiff that I love like count laps in the pool, keep track of my run times, pace and distances, tracks my sleep at night and more. It's really awesome. I'm so happy to support an American compost headquartered in Kansas City with manufacturing facilities in Taiwan, not China. I recommend this watch to everyone. It will really improve your health and you'll look good wearing it. Thanks Garmin!

Great features and accuracy
★★★★★
This watch does a great job of accurately capturing GPS data and run analysis featuring time, pace, mile splits, heart rate; all while playing my favorite playlists and podcasts that I saved on Spotify. I also like how it tracks sleeping patterns and the amount of steps I've taken daily.

Great Watch
★★★★★
I've had this watch for about a week and had a vivo fit before. This watch blows it out of the water in so many ways I don't even know where to start. You can add so many apps to it, Plus music no need to carry a phone anymore. Really like the tracking. Still working on learning were everything is in the watch . Starting activities is one push. Great Watch for the first week. Will have a follow up in the next month.

Amazing range of coverage
★★★★★
I bought it a few days ago and it really provides so much cool and accurate data on my gym workouts and runs, I'm impressed! It is also incredibly easy to use, I did not read the manual at all, just put it on my wrist and started to play with the buttons and options.

Great watch!
★★★★★
Amazing features, good battery life, love the music. I used Amazon Music and it maxed out at 350 songs, which is more than enough, though not as many as it's rated for. However, the songs I downloaded were probably longer than average. I didn't want a smartwatch. I'm a runner, I mostly just care about the running features. This watch covers all that I'd want, with a plethora of running features, plus some cool smartwatch features too. I love the buttons, they're way more responsive than a touch screen. This is not a watch that'd win the style awards, but that's not what I care about. It does look good, just not as sharp or fancy.

First Time user
★★★★★
I have been a fitbit user for years which was great for daily activities. However, my running ability and activity level has gone beyond fitbit. Now that I have switched to Forerunner 245 I am in love with this Garmin. I wish I switched years ago. I am excited this Garmin is going to ready for my 1st marathon in 2021.

Interesting Watch
★★★★★
I didn't like this watch upon boxing because it is not a touchscreen. Has an array of great features. Once I figured out how to operate it. I found it easier to utilize. Still wish it had a touchscreen, connected to iTunes and that it would connect my runs and walk to Nike Run Club app. Even thought that seems to be a nike issue, but if you are a runner. You will love this watch.

screen muted and battery died 1st long bike rid
★★★
This model lacks a touch screen. A little more complicated to navigate than my former garmin. My initial watch face was muted and difficult to visualize the screen. I am awaiting my replacement. Garmin service was excellent however and quickly shipped out a replacement. In addition, the battery died on my first several hour bike ride while music was playing.
