From Q80T to Q90R - WOW!

i'm comparing this tv to last years q80r. i didn't expect that much of a difference to be honest, but wow was i surprised. black levels are noticeably better and the brightness is also more detailed and punchier. you can definitely tell the difference with double the number of dimming zones in the 90t vs the 80r. i also love the new home screen/app layout. you can add more apps on the home screen now than before. gaming is amazing! no ghosting. it's about as smooth as my g-sync monitor and definitely feels more smooth than my 80r when gaming on xbox one x with vrr/freesync enabled. i paired this tv with the sonos arc + sub and wow is earc on this tv awesome. all in all, amazing tv. so glad i went with this over oled! Simply Beautiful

The Samsung Q90T QLED 65" TV was simple to set up and get connected. You will need 2 adults to put it onto the stand because of the size and weight. After plugging in power and one cable it was up and running. The on screen instructions are easy to follow. Connection to the Alexa app was simple as well. Once the setup was complete it was time to enjoy the beautiful images. We watched sports, movies and tv shows, all in such clear definition that it is like being in the same room with the people. There was no need to adjust distance from the screen as it is equally clear close up and far away. The colors are bright and bold. The remote is clean and very well designed. The first thing we noticed was the easy instalation. The stand was easy to put together and its very solid. No chance of tumbling over. Once we learned how to use the remote that is easy peasy and ran it through the set up guide which took around 15 mins to complete the first thing that was very impressive to us was how the picture covered the entire screen. After changing the channels we were able to see the variety of color variations and were quiet amazed at the screen resolution and picture qualty. We love all the Apps that are built into the TV ,it makes it really easy to navigate the different places you want to view.,and my husband was really impressed that he can control lights and the garage door in the house with the TV remote. Received our new TV 2 days ago and let me tell you it was so worth the wait! I' ve always purchased Samsung televisions as long as I can remember and let me begin by saying this television is every bit of AMAZING as I expect from Samsung. The colors are so vivid and UHD makes you feel as if you're sitting show side as they're recording. We use many streaming services and they are all crystal clear and the highest of definition. Not sure I'll let the kids game on this one, this one's mine! It's pretty amazing being able to use Amazon Alexa through the remote control, along with the numerous other smart features. There is an application you can download to your smartphone that converts your phone into a tv remote as well. There are numerous HDMI inputs to add just about any accessory you'd need to this television. There is legit not an angle you can be at that you can't see the picture not to mention with no glare what so ever. The setup for the television was very easy and pretty self-explanatory. It was a step by step process on screen to get things up and running. Honestly I have yet to come across anything with this TV that I'd consider being negative. The tv being able to self adjust the brightness is another amazing feature. It's amazing how far technology has come and knowing we can always rely on Samsung to be at the top of the technology ladder is always reassuring. One thing I've always struggled with Smart televisions is the sound. This television sound is phenomenal, it's almost like having a surround sound system without spending the extra money. Worth every penny. Best TV I have ever owned and seen for under $2000. Picture clarity is remarkable. The single most impressive things is the ability to see the TV well from fairly sharp angles within a very well lighted room. The reflectivity of sunlight or other lamps is simply not an issue.

Exceptional Color, but crushed blacks

I got this TV not too long ago in preparation for next gen consoles, and Im mostly happy with the color brightness ect. but no matter how I configure the picture settings with or without following the guide low end blacks get crushed costing detail. For example nice suit jackets sometimes have no collars or definition, and look like pitch black jumpsuits. Updated to latest firmware last night (1113 to 1115.5) and it didn't help. As it is right now as a gamer I wish I went with the OLED sadly.

Rainbow Glare!!!

I got delivery of this TV 5 days ago and I noticed on the 3rd day that there is this "Rainbow" glare from the screen that is VERY distracting when watching TV during the day. Not that noticeable if the scene is bright but you can see it if someone had dark hair and is very noticeable if the scene is dark. It is VERY frustrating because I really wanna love this TV but I can't. This HAS to be a defect because this TV is unwatchable during the day and it make no sense that Samsung would make a TV that can only be used in complete darkness. This TV has really been a pain through the ordering process and actually using it. Very disappointing.

Beautiful picture marred by manufacturing defects

These panels have a bright picture, beautiful color, and great uniformity. However, they also have dust flecks under the screens. I've gone through three of them so far (and six Q80Ts), each either arriving with or quickly developing 1-3 dust flecks (I've seen a Q80T with 12+). These flecks obscure about 4-6 pixels each when viewed head on, making the pixels appear grey or black unless viewed off angle. It's fine if you sit 10' away, but if you use this as a monitor, you will see the defects. I think this is a manufacturing problem with Samsung, since it's affecting multiple panels and models. It's a shame since I want to love this TV; I'd pay hundreds more over the cost just to guarantee a panel without obvious defects that should've been caught before shipping. I've tried all the home remedies: pixel fixers, tapping, suction cups, banging, an electric toothbrush, pressing, etc.
